“Page Text” is a rich-text editor that allows you to add text to your apps. The text is typically associated with an action and may be “tethered” above or below a specific action so that the association remains even when actions are distributed across a desktop view.
Text may also stand alone such as with an embedded bio, and it may serve as a “page break,” which means that the page text will visually separate the above actions from the following actions in a desktop view. This is useful for use cases such as separating buyer related actions from seller related actions on a desktop view.
Adding a page text action in a subpage action is a quick and easy way to add a bio, tutorial, or directions to an app (though a microsite is the better choice if you also want embedded images).
As with all action types, Page Text may be scheduled and it may be contextual. For example, a text business description may be scheduled to boldly state "OPEN NOW" during business hours, while a separate action is scheduled to say "CLOSED" during the alternate time period. As another example, one may also use the audience control feature to set text to appear only in installed apps or only for iOS apps.
The rich-text controls include bold, italics, underlind, link, bullets, justification, point size, and color, which may be independently applied to any of the text.
