QR Action

A QR Action is a great way to share an app, URL, or Action person-to-person

The user apps the action to see a larger version of the QR code. Then scan the QR code to open the designated app, URL, or Action.

              

Alternate Mode:

If you add a URL or other text string in the URL field, then a QR code will be generated to match that string.

Special use cases:

Marketing use case to capture phone numbers from contacts: The QR code format to launch a text message from the scanning phone is: "SMSTO:number: text message"  Thus for, if your mobile number is 555-555-1212 and your app URL is https://pwa.to/myapp, then add the string:

SMSTO:5555551212:Let's connect! https://pwa.to/myapp

to the QR field and you will get a QR code that, when scanned by a prospect, will launch a text message back to you and leave you both with each other's phone number and with a link to your app.

Payment QR: Add your Venmo payment URL to easily display your Venmo QR for payment.

As with most other actions, you can customize the call-to-action and its format.
