About Web Push

A web push notification is an actionable alert delivered directly to a user's screen. 

Acording to Apple's implementation on iOS, only installed PWAs are authorized to send notifications.

Users must opt in, but web push is private. Subscribers do not need to share any personal information or allow tracking cookies, and they may unsubscribe at any time.

Apple released support for web push to on March 27, 2023 with iOS release 16.4. Users will need to upgrade to 16.4 before they can subscribe to notifications from an iPhone or iPad.
